Small business or enterprise, nobody wants a complicated installation. WELLPOINT People Counters go online with very little effort: the Pulse V3 has built-in mobile data, included in every plan, and Wi-Fi integration is there for sites that need it, for example where the mobile signal is weak.

How the Counter Connects, and Where Wi-Fi Fits

  1. Mobile Data by Default
Plug the 5 V USB power adapter into a socket near the door and the counter sends its counts to WELLPOINT.cloud over built-in mobile data. No network or data cable – only the power adapter.
  2. Wi-Fi Where the Signal Is Weak
Built-in mobile data works in supported countries and network coverage areas. In a basement shop or a unit deep inside a large building, the counter can connect over Wi-Fi instead.
  3. Flexible Placement and Scaling
Because the counter does not depend on your network, adding a device at a new entrance or site needs no IT changes, only a mains socket near the door. Entrances wider than about 2.4 m use several devices, grouped as one entrance.
  4. Secure Cloud Sync
Over mobile data or Wi-Fi, the device sends its data over a secure connection – real-time, with data updates every 5 minutes on PLUS and PRO (hourly on LITE). Only anonymous entry and exit counts are transmitted.
  5. Simple Configuration
Register the serial number in WELLPOINT.cloud with a name, location, timezone and detection direction, then hold the button for 3 seconds to sync; a light and a beep confirm it.

Benefits for Your Business

  • Setup takes about 5 minutes per device
  • Nothing to set up on your IT network
  • Mobile data included in every plan, Wi-Fi as an option
  • CSV export for ERP or Excel on PLUS and PRO

What a Rollout Could Look Like

Because each counter brings its own connection, a rollout does not have to wait for an IT project. A retail chain could equip several stores in a single afternoon, and managers could then follow the counts and plan staffing from the hourly and daily figures. A store with poor reception, such as one in an underground passage, would simply use Wi-Fi.
