Every retailer needs to understand when shoppers come, how many of them buy, and how this changes over time. The WELLPOINT People Counter counts entries and exits at the store door, and WELLPOINT.cloud turns these counts into patterns you can act on.
Which Shopper Patterns Can Door Counts Show?
A door counter does not follow anyone through the store. It counts people passing the entrance in both directions, which is enough to answer many practical questions:
- Peak traffic: find the busiest hours and days for staffing and promotions.
- Weekly rhythm: see how weekdays compare with weekends and which days are consistently quiet.
- Monthly trends: follow visitor numbers month by month and spot seasonal changes.
- Conversion rate: divide your receipts (transactions) by visitors to see how many shoppers actually buy.
Measuring the time shoppers spend in front of shelves is something we may integrate later; today the counter counts entries and exits at the door.
Privacy-First by Design
The Pulse V3 does not capture images or identify visitors. Only anonymous entry and exit counts are transmitted from the counter, and the data travels over a secure connection.
