Cultural festivals, museum exhibitions, city celebrations and other public events attract large and varied audiences. Ticket sales show who planned to come; counting entries and exits at the doors shows how many people actually came, when they arrived and how full the venue was at its busiest hour.

WELLPOINT People Counters provide these figures without cameras.

Turning Attendance into Actionable Insights

A counter beside each entrance counts entries and exits separately. WELLPOINT.cloud shows visitors by hour and day and current occupancy (entries minus exits), real-time, with data updates every 5 minutes on PLUS and PRO (hourly on LITE). Organizers see when the venue fills up and which entrances carry the most traffic.

With these patterns, teams can plan staff at doors, cloakrooms and ticket desks and place security for the busy hours. If one entrance is regularly crowded, extra signage or another open door can spread arrivals.

Enhancing Experience Through Data

Attendance data also helps program planning. Comparing visitors by hour with the schedule shows which performances, talks or opening hours drew the most people. A hall or exhibition room can be measured separately with counters at its own entrances, so the next edition can be planned around measured demand.

Occupancy figures support safety planning as well: staff compare current occupancy, based on the latest synchronized counts, with the permitted maximum for their venue before deciding to slow down admission.

Privacy-First Technology for Public Spaces

The Pulse V3 does not capture images or identify visitors. Only anonymous entry and exit counts are transmitted from the counter. For public institutions this matters. The approach is GDPR-friendly by design: no camera, no images, no identification of people – only anonymous entry and exit counts. Full GDPR compliance also depends on the specific data-processing context.

Data-Driven Events, Scalable Results

Measured attendance turns intuition into planning. A single exhibition or a festival with several indoor venues can be managed in one account, with daily reports, monthly trends and totals per location; PLUS and PRO add CSV export for sponsor or funder reports.

The WELLPOINT People Counter (Pulse V3) mounts beside the entrance, runs on a 5 V USB power adapter and sends its counts over built-in mobile data. It is built for indoor use – halls, museums, pavilions – not for open-air sites. Devices and plans are on visitorcount.com.
