The quality of your visitor counts is decided at the door. With the WELLPOINT People Counter, reliable counts come down to two things: mounting the device correctly and checking the first counts with a short test walk. Both take only a few minutes.

Step-by-Step Mounting and Test Guide

  1. Choose the position
Mount the counter beside the entrance, on the door frame or wall; an anti-theft gate is also possible. One device covers a doorway up to about 2.4 m. For wider entrances, use several devices and group them in WELLPOINT.cloud as one entrance.
  2. Get the height and angle right
Place the counter 1.2 to 1.4 m above the floor, at a right angle to the walking direction, using the bracket and adhesive strips from the box. Keep the doorway clear of permanent obstacles such as sign stands.
  3. Check the settings
In WELLPOINT.cloud, make sure the device has the right name, location and time zone, and that the detection direction matches the way visitors enter.
  4. Walk through the door
Walk in and out a few times, then check that the entries and exits appear correctly in the dashboard. Allow for the update interval: every 5 minutes on PLUS and PRO, hourly on LITE.
  5. Re-check after changes
If you move the counter or rearrange the entrance, repeat the test walk.

Benefits

  • Reliable entry and exit counts from the first day
  • A simple test you can repeat whenever the entrance changes
  • Camera-free: the Pulse V3 does not capture images or identify visitors
  • Browser dashboard that also works on a phone

What This Can Look Like in Practice

A store manager could mount the counter before opening, walk through the door five times in each direction and check after the next data update that the dashboard shows five entries and five exits. If entries show up as exits, the detection direction needs to be changed; if some passes are missing, height and angle are the first things to check.

The WELLPOINT People Counter (Pulse V3) measures with a time-of-flight sensor beside the door and sends its counts over built-in mobile data. Order it with the plan that suits you on visitorcount.com.
