Flexible desks, shared project rooms and hybrid schedules only work if there is the right amount of space on the days people come in. Too little and teams cannot sit together; too much and the company pays for empty floors. Office occupancy analytics gives workplace planners the numbers to get that balance right.

WELLPOINT people counting technology counts entries and exits at the doors you choose, and WELLPOINT.cloud shows how many people use a building, a floor or a wing and when.

Understanding Workspace Utilization with Office Occupancy Analytics

The counters measure doorways, so they show the occupancy of any area whose entrances are counted: a building, a floor, a project area with its own door. They do not show what people do at their desks, which is one reason employees accept them easily.

Over a few weeks, workplace planners see which days are really busy, how many people come in on average and at the peak, and whether a floor is used every day or only now and then. If the project floor is full on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but almost empty on Fridays, team days can be spread out more evenly, or the floor can be shared with another department.

On PLUS and PRO the data is real-time, with data updates every 5 minutes, so the occupancy monitoring view also shows the current occupancy of a floor, entries minus exits based on the latest synchronized counts. LITE updates hourly.

Planning a Better Workplace

Historical occupancy data makes workplace decisions easier to justify. It shows the real peak, which tells you how many desks you need, and the real average, which tells you how much space you pay for but do not use. Cleaning schedules, catering and on-site services can then follow the busy days.

For organizations with several offices, all sites are in one account and can be compared side by side. With CSV export on PLUS and PRO, the numbers can go into workplace reports, and on PRO, the API can be used to integrate WELLPOINT visitor counts with POS, BI or other business systems.

Privacy-First Workplace Planning

Anonymous counts measure space, not people. The Pulse V3 does not capture images or identify visitors. Only anonymous entry and exit counts are transmitted from the counter. That makes the system easy to explain to your data protection officer and employee representatives. It is GDPR-friendly by design; full GDPR compliance also depends on the specific data-processing context.

Creating Offices People Want to Use

A workplace that fits how people really work starts with knowing how it is used. The WELLPOINT People Counter (Pulse V3) is mounted beside the door at 1.2 to 1.4 m and covers a doorway of up to about 2.4 m. You buy the device once on visitorcount.com and then choose the plan per counter.
