Corporate headquarters and large office campuses see thousands of arrivals and departures every week. Security teams need to know how busy the building is, which entrances are used and when, and that is exactly what corporate security analytics based on foot traffic analytics and people counting provides.

WELLPOINT people counting technology counts entries and exits at each building entrance without a camera. It complements, but does not replace, access control and video systems: it adds anonymous numbers, not identities.

1. Occupancy Figures for Every Building

With counters at the entrances, the security desk sees the current occupancy of a building: entries minus exits, based on the latest synchronized counts. On PLUS and PRO the data is real-time, with data updates every 5 minutes; LITE updates hourly. That figure is a useful reference for evening rounds and for knowing roughly how many people are still inside.

2. Knowing Which Entrances Are Used

Every counted entrance has its own figures. Security teams quickly see which doors carry most of the traffic, which side entrances are barely used and at which hours. That helps when deciding where to place guards, which doors to keep open in the evening and where a reception point makes sense.

3. Better Emergency Planning

Historical occupancy shows when a building holds the most people, for example on mid-week mornings. Evacuation drills, fire warden rosters and exit capacity can be planned for those real peaks instead of an average day. The counts do not show where people are inside the building, and they do not replace roll calls, but they make planning more realistic.

Staff can compare the current occupancy with their own permitted maximum using occupancy monitoring tools in any browser.

4. Visitor Management at the Main Entrance

Visitor peaks at the main entrance, such as the morning arrival or the end of a large meeting, show when the front desk and security checks need extra staff. Comparing several sites in one account, for example headquarters and regional offices, shows where the busiest entrances really are, using visitor analytics in WELLPOINT.cloud.

5. Long-Term Security Planning

Over months, the trends show how building use is changing: more people on certain weekdays, fewer on Fridays, new peaks after a team moves in. Security staffing and opening hours can follow these trends. On PLUS and PRO the data can be exported as CSV, and on PRO, the API can be used to integrate WELLPOINT visitor counts with POS, BI or other business systems.

Because the counter has no camera, it is easy to explain to your data protection officer and employee representatives. The Pulse V3 does not capture images or identify visitors. Only anonymous entry and exit counts are transmitted from the counter.

Building Safer Corporate Environments

Good security planning depends on reliable figures. The WELLPOINT People Counter (Pulse V3) is mounted beside each entrance at 1.2 to 1.4 m, covers a doorway of up to about 2.4 m and sends its data over built-in mobile data, so nothing is connected to the corporate network. Order it on visitorcount.com.
